This framework is not a substitute for official rules prepared for each promotion. FanPulse must not launch a prize promotion until the sponsor, eligibility, prize, territory, entry method, dates, winner selection, disclosures, and registration or bonding requirements are confirmed.
1. Required Rule Sections
Each promotion should state:
- Sponsor legal name and address.
- No purchase necessary where the promotion is a sweepstakes.
- Eligibility, age, location, exclusions, and employee or contractor restrictions.
- Start and end date, time, and time zone.
- Exact entry method and entry limits.
- Alternative free method of entry if purchase or paid membership is involved.
- Prize description, approximate retail value, number of prizes, and restrictions.
- Random drawing or judging method and odds or judging criteria.
- Winner notification, verification, affidavit, release, tax form, and response deadline.
- Publicity permission subject to law.
- Taxes and expenses responsibility.
- Release and limitation language permitted by law.
- Platform release and statement that the promotion is not sponsored by the social platform unless true.
- Privacy treatment of entries.
- Disqualification for fraud, automation, tampering, or rule violations.
- Winner list method and governing law.
2. General Website Notice
No purchase is necessary for a sweepstakes. A purchase will not improve the odds of winning. Void where prohibited. See the specific Official Rules for eligibility, dates, prizes, odds, and entry instructions.
3. Ambassador and Creator Restrictions
An ambassador or creator may not announce or administer a FanPulse branded prize promotion without written approval of the official rules, sponsor role, prize funding, tax handling, platform disclosures, and winner selection process.
